Dunoon is a charming costal resort town, with excellent road, rail and air connections.
It is situated on a peninsula and therefore attached to the Scottish mainland, but has a distinctive island feel - enhanced by the short ferry ride from Gourock. | |
Traditionally a holiday destination in the 1800's for rich Glasgow merchants, there are many wonderful examples of stunning Victorian houses.
The main street is full of traditional and modern shops including Dunoon Ceramics factory outlet. There are several fine tearooms and restaurants.
